Reports to: Lead of Entertainment, Ambassador, and Influencer Marketing

Location: Boston or remote

Partners In Health (PIH) is a nonprofit global health and social justice organization fighting injustice by bringing the benefits of modern medical science to impoverished communities around the world. The mission of PIH’s Marketing and Communications team is to grow our base of supporters by disseminating the right message to the right audience by efficiently using all available channels. Central to the Marketing and Communications team is our External Relations division, which oversees all efforts to boost awareness through media relations, celebrity and influencer engagements, and now, entertainment partnerships.

PIH is looking for an experienced entertainment professional to create and manage partnerships with major brands, influencers, and entertainment networks. Under the guidance of a lead, this role will help define the strategic direction for entertainment-focused partnerships, allowing PIH to actively participate in content co-creation opportunities and promotional activities at the intersection of health equity, social justice, and pop culture. This is not a traditional communications role. We are seeking a creative thinker up for the challenge of increasing PIH’s presence in the brand and entertainment space.

 

Responsibilities

  • Grow and develop PIH’s footprint in pop culture through high-value partnerships
  • Contribute to the planning, ideation, and execution of brand partnership strategies
  • Alongside the Earned Media division, identify, review, and manage a list of potential partnersincluding brands, TV networks, film studios, and media publishers 
  • Create pitch materials and lead presentations in an effort to engage and secure entertainment partners
  • Serve as the point person to ideate, plan, and execute multi-channel campaigns
  • Spearhead and nurture PIH’s relationship with partners by overseeing the day-to-day comms
  • Establish a system to track partner pipeline and progress
  • Regularly provide updates to PIH’s Marketing & Communications team
  • Lead internal debriefs on partnership results, learnings, and takeaways
  • Utilize and integrate PIH ambassadors and influencers in entertainment opportunities

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who:

  • Has direct entertainment and/or brand partnerships marketing experience in-house or at an advertising or talent management agency
  • Has an interest in social justice and global health, as well as intersectional areas such as climate change, women’s rights, and racial equity
  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset and is comfortable creating partnerships from scratch
  • Thrives in a remote-work culture and enjoys virtual/digital collaboration 
  • Understands popular culture and social media platforms, and has a pulse on the latest brand collaborations
  • Comes with an established network of entertainment contacts and existing relationships
