This Opportunity:
Palladium seeks technical experts for an anticipated USAID-funded agriculture project in Rwanda. The program is expected to foster private sector-led agricultural modernization to sustainably increase productivity, farmers’ income, and the resilience of Rwandan agriculture and food systems. Working with actors across the market, the Activity will take a market systems approach to promote the development of inclusive business models; improve farmer access to inputs, investment, and technical expertise; and foster sustainable private sector partnerships.
The Rwanda Feed the Future Activity is an anticipated project, and the positions are contingent upon award from USAID.

Palladium is seeking long-term candidates to serve as technical experts and operational staff for this opportunity in the following areas:
Market systems development
Agronomy
Agribusiness
Value Chain Development
Gender and Youth
Access to Finance
Finance and Administration
Operations
Communications
Monitoring and Evaluation

Reporting and Supervision:
Technical Experts will report the corresponding Technical Objective Lead. Other positions will report directly and indirectly to the Chief of Party.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical experts will provide overall technical contributions in their respective Technical Area of focus.
Ensure program objectives are achieved.
Ensure compliance in line with Palladium and USAID reporting and requirements.
Assist project programmatic and financial reporting.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Key Competencies Required:
All positions require the following competencies:
At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the technical and operational areas outlined above
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven experience developing and finalizing high quality deliverables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders in the public and private sector, other donors, and
other key stakeholders.
Written and oral proficiency in English required; proficiency in Kinyarwanda and French preferred
Professional Expertise/Competencies Preferred:
Advanced degree in business, agriculture, economics, finance, or other closely related field as relevant to position
At least 8 years of experience working with the private sector and agribusiness in Rwanda preferred
At least 5 years of experience working for large donor organizations such as USAID
