The Development Coordinator, Donor Engagement, reporting to the Manager of Donor Stewardship, will provide support to the Donor Engagement team. The Donor Engagement team is responsible for implementing a comprehensive donor engagement strategy across the development team. The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be to support donor stewardship strategies that appropriately and consistently ensure donors understand the impact of their support and have positive experiences that build loyalty, engagement, and support for the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:             

 Stewardship Activities:

  • Working closely with the Manager of Donor Stewardship, helps to execute and manage production of stewardship activities for individual donors, including quarterly newsletters, annual reports, donor videos, mailings, and holiday cards. Responsibilities include list pulling and management, drafting and proofing content, in-house production, working with vendors, and data entry. This also involves collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Assist with executing individual donor strategies. Including but not limited to data entry, report pulling, creation of materials as requested, procuring gifts, managing collateral (ordering, intake, and supply), and assembling gifts as needed. 
  • As needed, support donor engagement events, site visits and team travel. May involve attending events.
  • Collaborate across development department to ensure all stakeholders are informed of donor engagement opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Donor Stewardship to develop new and innovative tools for individual stewardship activities.
  • Work with outside vendors as needed.
  • Process and track all invoices related to donor engagement expenses.

 Database management:

  • Act as the point person for Raiser’s Edge updating and other tasks for the Donor Engagement team, including working closely with the Development Operations team to develop coding and procedures to record and track donor engagement activities, including events and mailings. Work with Operations to create correct donors lists as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on current best practices for recording and maintaining donor information in Raiser’s Edge. 

 

Team support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Donor Engagement team, including assisting with submitting invoices, processing expenses, tracking credit card charges, assisting with travel booking, note taking and scheduling meetings. Also includes updating and maintaining team processes and activities.
  • Update and manage donor engagement team Sharepoint site.
  • Point of contact in the office for all things related to Donor Engagement.
  • Manage inventory of Donor Engagement supplies.

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills in a PC environment with the capability to master new software applications and technologies. Excellent skills in the functional use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.

  • Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
  • Works well as a member of a team, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated maturity and good judgment to represent PIH in a highly professional manner and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Focused and motivated to learn and flexible to change. 
  • Interest for the mission of PIH.
