Position Title: Public Relations Coordinator  

Reports to: Director of External Relations 

Location: Boston or remote 

Employment Type: Full-time 
 

Position Overview  
Over three decades, Partners In Health has built an excellent reputation as a global health leader. The PR Coordinator assists in leveraging and protecting that reputation. The Coordinator supports the External Relations Team to amplify PIH brand messaging amongst the broadest target audience and spearheads the celebration of PIH’s unique mission and values, the showcasing of its pioneering accomplishments, and the defense of its valuable brand.?

Responsibilities: 
 

  • Support facilitation of team meetings  
  • Act as a backstop during calls and answer follow-up requests 
  • Monitor media mentions and programmatic success to create presentations and shareable reports 
  • Draft written materials such as bios, press releases, and social copy 
  • Manage requests for speaking engagements  
  • Liase with consultants and partners 
  • Stay informed and in-touch with programmatic leads and their teams’ accomplishments

Qualifications 
 

  • Undergraduate degree and two years’ experience in a similar role  
  • Current and strategic understanding of online, print, and broadcast news and media 
  • Familiarity with the international media landscape and entertainment industry 
  • Diplomacy, sound judgement, and professionalism 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends  
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion, including international travel to remote or hard to access locations?with limited infrastructure 
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff?across departments and countries 
  • Strong writer with a keen eye for grammar and knowledge of AP Style  
  • Interest in social justice strongly desirable
