About the job: The GEDSI Adviser will work with the Partnership Support Unit team, MAP-TNC partners and stakeholders and other technical experts to ensure program activities integrate gender and social inclusion principles and approaches. The role is cross-cutting and requires a flexible and integrated way of working across the broader MAP-TNC community to ensure that programs and inputs apply an inclusion lens. This role will have a preference to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, but other locations in the Mekong region can be considered. About the Project: Palladium has been contracted to manage a Partnership Support Unit (PSU) to MAP-TNC. The PSU will provide logistical, administrative and development support by responding to specific APS agency and MAP-TNC partner requests during the implementation of activities in Mekong countries where needed. A key function of the PSU is to provide GEDSI advice to APS partners for activity design and implementation, and also advise on the production and use of GEDSI research and analysis informing TNC and Border Security strategy, policy and institutional development in the Mekong.
Duties
Provide technical advice to MAP-TNC planning and activity design work, through identifying GEDSI requirements and providing recommendations on ensuring GEDSI principles and approaches are integrated
Identify opportunities and strategies to strengthen gender analysis of TNC and border security issues and policy reforms informed by research and analysis
Advise the PSU on integrating GEDSI principles and approaches into Program Management systems for MAP-TNC
Provide technical Support to the monitoring and evaluation related work.
Skills and experience
Experience of advising on development of GEDSI strategies and plans in development program contexts
Understanding of GEDSI in security, justice and law enforcement contexts, and the intersection of GEDSI and transnational crime
Strong analytical and writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of advising on development of GEDSI strategies and plans in development program contexts in the Mekong region
