The Role


We are looking for an International Treasury Analyst who will support our International Treasury function in providing first class treasury service to the charity, with a specific focus on supporting Oxfam’s overseas offices with their banking and treasury needs on a day to day basis.


Oxfam has clearly defined policies, processes and approaches to dealing with a number of these issues such as opening, maintaining and closing bank accounts.  Whilst day to day operational responsibility sits with the local country teams the role holder is expected to oversee daily banking and payments activities within each country, to help aggregate all banking and payments activities across our global operations and to support the interaction and easy flow of information and best working practice between our central finance activities in Oxford and those in country.


What we are looking for

Treasury’s role is to help ensure we move the cash we receive from our fund-raising activities is moved into the countries to allow the teams there to carry out their humanitarian activities.


We need someone with some Finance experience given we sit within the Finance function; previous Treasury, Banking or Payments experience is a plus.  You will be enthusiastic, tenacious, curious and willing to develop.  We will train you and develop your skills.  You will be a strong communicator and both confident & culturally sensitive when talking to colleagues and banks across the globe.


You need an excellent eye for detail and be able to think outside the box to develop practical solutions to complex banking issues within an organization working in some of the most challenging locations in the world under tight time frames.

You will help the country and regional finance teams in how they manage our banking relationships and comply with our policies and procedures.  You will put together a range of information about all our international banking activity.


The role is a great starting point for someone looking to either broaden their finance skills or start a career in Treasury.

Salary: £21,000-£28,000 per annum gross – depending on experience
