The Role


We are looking for an International Treasury Manager who will support the immediate Treasury team and the broader finance function in providing a first-class treasury service to the organization, by supporting Oxfam’s overseas offices with their banking, payment, cash management and treasury needs.


The role holder is expected to demonstrate leadership, technical expertise and an ability to innovate across a broad range of treasury thematic issues such as balance sheet management and reporting, prudent management of FX related risks, business partnering across broader finance teams in the UK and internationally and across other teams and functions and to look at Oxfam could make production use of both new technology systems but through lean and agile processes and procedures.  You will also support the Head of Global Tax & Treasury deputising for them on an as needed basis.


What we are looking for


We are looking for an experienced and ideally qualified Treasury professional who will have recent experience of managing multiple FX risk and a good knowledge of financial markets, banking system, regulation and market practices.


You will be skilled at identifying areas of treasury risk and in identifying areas for continuous improvement to drive productivity and strengthen the control environment.   Better still you will be very familiar with implementing or improving a Treasury Management System and how that can automate critical banking and payment processes.


You will be a strong communicator, able to explain technical and complex issues to non-finance staff and both confident & culturally sensitive when talking to colleagues and banks across the globe.


You need an excellent eye for detail and be able to think outside the box to develop practical solutions to complex banking issues within an organisation working in some of the most challenging locations in the world under tight time frames.

You will help manage our banking and other relationships and engage in a range of execution duties ranging from FX risk management to overseeing the management of our investment portfolios.


You will help build deeper and stronger relationships with our country and regional finance teams.  You will use the benefit of your valued experience to help drive through real improvements in our end to end treasury processes.

Salary: £32,000 – £37,000 gross p.a. – depending on experience
