Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Uganda DOD Project & the RAFG Burundi Project by liaising between the headquarters office and program office, and coordinating communication with sub grantees, partner organizations and donor agencies. The Project Coordinator will report to [Director, Finance and Administration – Africa Team]
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Provide administrative and budget management support to field-based projects and staff;
Monitor the achievement of project deliverables;
Coordinate project activities with partners and other organizations;
Coordinate and assist with project start-up and close-out activities;
Review budgets and monthly financial reports, and update financial trackers;
Oversee travel arrangements for technical assistance visits in compliance with USG regulations.
Review documentation from field teams for completeness and compliance with donor regulations; and
Contribute to business development efforts.
Travel to developing countries as required, up to 10% of the time.

As needed, attend, and represent the organization in various events, seminars, and functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires the individual to work with people of different cultural backgrounds, the ability to work under pressure and strong interpersonal communication, program coordination, organizational and support skills. This position requires a strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development or related field.
Experience: At least one year working on international donor funded projects or living in a developing country.
Experience with or the ability to follow United States federal contract procedures and regulations
Experience with budgeting
French language a plus
