Dalberg Project Managers live and work around the world, creating a network of global perspectives anchored by local experience in our offices in Africa, Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia. Typical Qualifications for a Project Manager:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, MPA/MPP or PhD preferred.
Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization, managing high-performing project teams in problem-solving / analytical work.
Strong analytical capabilities, both quantitative and qualitative. Familiarity with financial modelling, statistics, econometrics and other analytical tools a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills; able to synthesize and present complex ideas in an insightful, structured and compelling manner.
Experience working with senior executives in the public and/or private sector. Ability to adapt to a variety of cultures (preferably including developing countries) and a variety of institutional environments (e.g., public agencies, companies, NGOs).
Demonstrated ability to lead or manage others to produce high-quality products and results, and effective at coaching and training others.
Ability to perform well in, and is excited by the prospect of, a start-up atmosphere.
Understanding of or deep interest in international development and social impact work, typically evidenced by a strong interest and prior exposure to global issues such as economic development, global health, education or the environment.
English fluency required; Arabic fluency preferred.
Experience and professional networks in the MENA region would be an asset.
Note: Abu Dhabi office is able to sponsor work visas for this role for applicants interested in relocating to the region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AND HOW YOU WILL GROW
As a Project Manager at Dalberg, you will have considerable autonomy and responsibility. You will lead consulting projects, devising frameworks and approaches to solve strategy and organizational problems, designing analyses, overseeing the work of consultants, devising recommendations and preparing compelling reports. You will work closely with Partners in advising and building relationships with clients. You will be asked to guide and mentor junior colleagues, and to contribute to managing the firm. You will be expected to embody the characteristics we value most – commitment to social impact, entrepreneurship, excellence, partnership and caring for others.
Responsibilities:
Manage consulting projects on strategic planning, organizational development, performance improvement, program design, evaluations and change management.
Manage the work of Dalberg consulting teams, helping them to plan analytical work, supporting and supervising their research and analyses, and identifying implications and recommendations.
Lead preparation and ensure quality of client deliverables, e.g., reports and presentations.
Coach, train and mentor team members.
Manage relationships with client counterparts and other stakeholders, often acting as the point of contact for questions and requests.
Contribute to thought leadership on issues in international development and management.
Act as advisor to consultants, supporting their professional development and conducting reviews of their performance.
Take leadership roles in building Dalberg, both globally and locally.

Our current opportunity is in the Abu Dhabi office. The role includes mentoring and coaching the Abu Dhabi team, and as such requires regular presence in the office, except when travelling for project work or other meetings. Some projects will require travel.
