The Vaccine Confidence Project (VCP) monitors attitudes towards vaccines through diverse data streams and aims to detect early warning signals of confidence losses in vaccines. The VCP is actively engaged in data collection through various streams (traditional surveys, social media monitoring, etc) and is looking to increase its capacity to provide robust public health messaging to national and international policymakers and stakeholders.
The VCP is seeking to recruit one Research Fellow.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to lead the Africa Vaccine Confidence Project research collaborations and engagements by contributing to research work, managing existing relationships and partnerships across Africa to lead the Vaccine Confidence Project (VCP) Asia Pacific research and support overall VCP global research
Regularly review progress with local researchers and collaborating partners, monitoring progress towards objectives;
Engage with relevant governmental and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all ethical, data privacy and regulatory requirements;
Contribute to Vaccine Confidence Project content creation for the website.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a Master of International Public Health and relevant experience in managing the relationship between AU-CDC and other implementing partners. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full time and fixed-term from 1 May 2022 until 30 June 2023.
The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale Grade 6 in the range £40,611 – £46,119 per annum. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary ‘Wellbeing Days’. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based Overseas in Nairobi, Kenya.
