Job Description

The role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated researcher to join the thriving Tobacco Control Research Group (TCRG) and lead research on the tobacco industry.

Our research is highly applied and as such, working within your areas of research, you will ensure findings can be applied to practice, for example by developing resources for tobacco control advocates and stakeholders to address and counter tobacco industry interference, and systems for in-country data collection, with a focus on lower- and middle-income countries.  You will actively disseminate research findings including working with the press.

You will be expected to lead research in your area, developing and supporting colleagues in the research team and also line managing research staff and supervising PhD students, where appropriate.

You will contribute to a one week training programme in tobacco industry monitoring and research run annually.

You will ensure the conduct of high quality research and secure funding via research grants and/or fellowship applications
