The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitarian organization is seeking a Project Specialist to join our Canadian Operations Team for a two year term. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Systems and working closely with complementary project teams to align initiatives, you will support the planning, coordination, management and development of the Emergency Management Information System (EMIS) and other similar projects within the Emergency Management (EM) program.

In this Project Specialist role, you will:
Contribute to the development of project plans and to planning activities
Maintain a project document repository and change log
Develop reports, presentations and other documents to communicate project progress with various audiences
Participate in the development of business requirements, user stories and process maps
Facilitate the solicitation, collation and review of feedback from project subject matter experts on requirements, solutions and implementation materials
Coordinate with the project team on solution testing and demos
Coordinate project evaluations and develop lessons observed and recommendations for future projects
We’re looking for:
University degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution
Project Management Professional PMP or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) in progress, certification is an asset
Minimum of three years working in planning, management and delivery of projects
Experience in agile methodology an asset
Ability to communicate fluently in English, bilingual an asset
Extraordinary communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills to facilitate relationship building within and across teams
Experience documenting business processes, building and evolving project plans
Must complete a satisfactory Canadian criminal record reference check or Enhanced Police Information Check
This role is based in Ottawa, ON, or Montreal, PQ; travel will be required
