Project Overview and Role: The purpose of the activity is to harness the
leadership of the private sector as a change agent to develop sustainable and
innovative models to develop the Kosovo workforce. The private sector’s
leadership will offer a radically different approach to
sustainability and will strengthen the ecosystem between the business
community, education institutions, and policymakers. Putting the private sector
in the driver’s seat will lead to improved outcomes, and now more than ever a
highly skilled workforce is critical for developing Kosovo’s long-term
competitiveness. Through a tailored approach in high-growth industries, the
private sector is poised to lead Kosovo in solving workforce issues. This
position will be based in Kosovo and is contingent upon activity award to
Palladium.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides technical leadership and oversight to technical staff and partner organizations
  • Ensure interventions reflect high technical quality and international best practices
  • Directs and coordinates technical team to ensure that project goals and objectives are met
  • Responsible for sustainability of program activities
  • Serves as primary liaison with the business community, education institutions, and policymakers
  • Ensures strong collaboration with government counterparts, donors, private sector, and other implementing partners
  • Supports the development and reviews project work plans and reports

 Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in implementation of projects with a focus private sector engagement and workforce development
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working in Kosovo
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and respond to emerging opportunities and overcome barriers
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a required timeframe
