Position Title: Training and Workforce Development Coordinator
Reports to: Provost of Academic Affairs and Research
Location: University of Global Health Equity-Haiti, Central Plateau Department
Employment Type: Full time, regular
Position Overview:
The Training and Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible coordinating all aspects of the training and workforce department. The coordinator gathers information from UGHE-Haiti and Zanmi Lasante and the general healthcare field to identify and prioritize training and workforce development gaps. The coordinator schedules training, locates trainers, and coordinates all training activities. This position requires full time residence in Haiti (Central Plateau Department) .
Responsibilities:
Coordinates all aspects of the department.
Works with stakeholders to identify training priorities.
Develops an annual plan for the delivery of training.
Produces a schedule of trainings.
Develops promotional materials.
Identifies and hires trainers.
Coordinates refreshments for training and workforce development meetings.
Collects feedback from students, trainers, and other stakeholders.
Works with curriculum developers to develop new training programs.
Collaborates with curriculum and course designers to create new learning resources.
Collaborates with course designers to develop tests, exams, and other formal and informal assessments to gauge student learning.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in an education field.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills.
Experience collaborating with local (Haitian) stakeholders.
Outstanding networking and interpersonal abilities; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.
Fluency in French, Haitian Creole, and English.
5+ years of experience living and working in a low resource setting, preferably in Haiti.
Passion for social justice, health equity, training and workforce development.
