These Opportunities:
Palladium is seeking candidates for various environment and natural resource, business development, and marketing technical positions for the USAID/Colombia Productive Nature Activity (PNA).

The purpose of this activity is to improve human wellbeing and biodiversity conservation by engaging key stakeholders, particularly the private sector, in the implementation of nature-based solutions that preserve ecosystems and ecosystem services. PNA aims to enable and incentivize private sector to invest in nature-based solutions and to work with public and community actors to develop tailored cost-efficient, market-driven businesses that integrate nature-based solutions into existing business models.
The Colombia Productive Nature Activity is an anticipated project, and this position is contingent upon award from USAID.

Private Sector and Business Engagement (PSE) Specialists:
Demonstrated experience working with private sector partners, investors, medium- and small enterprises, and other value chain actors to develop cost-effective and market-driven nature-based solutions.
PSE specialists will lead design and implementation of project-supported interventions that promote private sector investment in nature-based solutions and leverage global, national, regional, and local actors together to develop private sector incentives, identify innovative financing mechanisms, and create an enabling environment for public-private partnerships to develop nature-based solutions to the Orinoquia, Caribbean and Andean regions.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, etc.) is required. Masters is preferred.
Environmental Compliance (EC) Specialist:
Demonstrated experience in monitoring project and local livelihood impacts to ecosystem services, ecological systems, and biodiversity and ensuring projects are compliant to USAID and country standards.
Lead the development and implementation of the environmental impact monitoring strategy which will include monitoring land use changes.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (biology, ecology, forestry, wildlife conservation, etc.) is required. Masters is preferred.
Gender, Equity & Social Inclusion (GESI)/ Youth Director:
Responsible for providing technical expertise, management, and leadership to the GESI/youth related components of the PNA Activity. Responsibilities will include creating opportunities for women, youth, indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities to become engaged in government, civil society, and education opportunities as these areas relate to this Activity.
The GESI/Youth Director will enhance access to financial and social services for these marginalized groups and promote gender equality and social inclusion in entrepreneurship and workforce development.
Grants Specialist:
Responsible for overseeing, managing, and monitoring the grants component for this activity in each region.
Duties will include documenting payments and expenditure, maximizing efficiency in administration processes, adhering to grants regulations and standards as outlined by USIAD, engaging with resource partners and recipients to monitor progress, and drafting financial reports.
The Grants specialist will draw upon Palladium resources and inputs from PNA partners throughout grant allocation processes.
Marketing and Communications Specialist:
Responsible for the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies to increase demand both internationally and domestically for nature-based sustainable goods and services that will be produced through the development of nature-based markets.
Demonstrated experience working with local communities, organizations, businesses designing tailored local communication strategies leveraging traditional and non-traditional marketing channels such as social media and influencers.
A Bachelor’s degree in a Communications or another relevant subject is required; Master’s is a preference.
