PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.
Launched in 2016 by UNICEF and the World Bank Group, the Early Childhood Action Network (ECDAN) is a global network that connects, gathers, disseminates, and advocates for cross-sector solutions to improve the overall well-being of young children and families, so that every young child is safe, well-nourished, healthy, happy, and learning.
Since its inception in 2016, hundreds of members of the early childhood development (ECD) community have contributed recommendations for the type of network needed by the ECD community to advance the goals of its agenda — moving from science to scale and accelerating progress towards achieving the relevant Sustainable Development Goals for early childhood development.
ECDAN is currently hosted by PATH.
PATH is seeking a Communications Associate to develop communications materials to support ECDAN’s initiatives and to help manage ECDAN’s digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage communication materials from concept to completion through research, writing, editing, and proofreading content—e.g. newsletter pieces, blog posts, website copy, and project documentation such as presentations and reports.
Assist the Communications Lead in the development and implementation of initiative specific communications strategies.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across communications materials; upholding ECDAN’s external look and feel according to its visual identity guidelines.
Contribute to development of key messages and related materials to support ECDAN’s advocacy campaigns, including the global childcare campaign.
Assist team members with communication resources for presentations, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
Manage a strong web presence through consistent content creation and publishing on the project website, social media channels, and knowledge management portal.
Coordinate as needed and/or edit and write sections of reports to donors; edit other materials as needed.
Liaise with external partners on communications-related activities such as publications, calls to action, and blog posts.
Interact with external contractors such as website developers and graphic designers to communicate needed deliverables and track deliverable progress.
