What Our Past Interns Say
“Working on the Flu team was an invaluable experience, especially during a global pandemic. I learned a lot and gained exposure to public health prevention specifically, the importance of a Universal Influenza Vaccine (UIV).”
– Adelola A., Interned for the Influenza Vaccine Innovations Team
My time as an intern for the Global Community Engagement team was invaluable. Being on a team of strong, female leaders was incredibly empowering, especially as a young aspiring public health professional. Although I was working remotely for the duration of my internship, I still felt like the work I did was engaging and worthwhile to the Boost team mission. I am grateful for the time I spent at an esteemed organization such as Sabin and know that the skills I gained will serve me well in my future endeavors.
– Laura K., Interned for the Global Community Engagement Team
Overall, the experience has energized me in preparation for my future career. The internship has increased my ability to contribute genuine skills, which is highly valuable for me as a Public Health major. I would strongly suggest the Sabin Internship program to anyone interested in working in resource development and policy or in the field of immunization. This program was adaptable to my schedule during the quarter, and provided me with essential knowledge that I would not have obtained in a traditional classroom setting.
– Lizzie Z., Interned for the Resource Development & Policy Team
“Working with Sabin’s Communications team was a once in a lifetime opportunity. With each project I worked on, I felt proud to be contributing to the organization’s mission and loved this introduction to the non-profit sector. Above all, it was my team that made this experience such a memorable one. I worked with extremely intelligent, dedicated, and kind people, and I am thankful for all that they taught me!”
– Sejal R., Interned for the Communications Team
“Working with the Vaccine Acceptance & Demand Team provided me with countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. Being able to work in the public health space and with public health professionals helped me realize how crucial this work truly is. I’ve been extremely grateful for the opportunity and would strongly recommend the experience to anyone seeking to work in the field of public health.”
– Nick P., Interned for the Vaccine Acceptance & Demand Team
