Description
The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its 16 programs and focus areas cover a range of global health issues including neglected tropical diseases, infectious diseases, vaccines, field epidemiology, public health informatics, health workforce development, and global health ethics. All our programs have an end goal in sight of eliminating diseases and protecting the health of populations. The Task Force for Global Health was recognized for its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering with the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the world’s largest award of its kind. The Task Force is ranked among the largest nonprofits in the United States due to in-kind contributions of medicines and vaccines from major pharmaceutical companies valued at billions of dollars annually.
The Health Campaign Effectiveness Program: The Health Campaign Effectiveness (HCE) Program was established in 2019 at the Task Force for Global Health. The HCE program manages an implementation research portfolio and serves as the Program Office for the HCE Coalition. The Coalition brings together country leaders, donors, multilateral organizations and NGOs from several health domains that use large-scale health campaigns to deliver interventions to populations. These include organizations working in immunizations, polio, malaria, neglected tropical diseases and vitamin A supplementation. The Coalition membership also has specialists in health systems, ethics, and health economics in the first partnership for cross-campaign action, promoting promising practices and fostering opportunities for shared resources.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the integrated communication and promotion of divisional programs and services. Collaborates with others to develop and implement programs and communications materials for targeted audiences which enhance awareness and utilization of divisional programs and services.
Creates effective promotional materials including articles, brochures, forms and flyers.
Designs, oversees and updates a website to educate and to promote activities and programs; coordinates website with other related websites.
May manage a budget.
May assist in evaluating, measuring and responding to issues related to the quality of services provided. May conduct evaluations, surveys and focus groups to assist in quality improvement efforts.
Researches constituents’ satisfaction with divisional programs and services.
Develops reports and recommendations to sustain high quality.
May supervise or provide direction to staff.
Leads projects as assigned.
Serves as an internal marketing consultant for programs and services.
May be responsible for managing various aspects of social media activities.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, art or other related field.
Five years of experience in the development of marketing and informational materials, writing/research, project management and/or information technology.
Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge of publishing and other related software.
Demonstrated creativity in the design of marketing, public relations or educational programs and communications materials.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
