Location: US , Remote possible, with 40% travel

Position Overview: PIH is seeking a Senior Advisor, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), to represent PIH on global technical working groups and work across a number of internal PIH teams to develop and implement a comprehensive, tangible RMNCAH strategy tied to PIH’s strategic plan and ten year vision focused on elevating the needs of women and children. This advisor will necessarily work with a multidisciplinary team of colleagues focused on various components of the RMNCAH value chain, given the role that midwives, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, nurse specialists , social workers and community health workers all play in ensuring women, children and adolescents receive lifesaving prevention, treatment and care across all levels of the health system .
Responsibilities:
Work across PIH care delivery sites and with coordination site colleagues to develop a comprehensive RMNCAH strategy and plan aligned with the vision set out in PIH’s 5 year strategic plan and advise on implementation best practices.
Stay up-to-date on the latest evidence and clinical protocols for RMNCAH and serve as a resource for RMNCAH implementers across the PIH network
Ensure global leadership for PIH in comprehensive, multi-dimensional and integrated approaches to RMNCAH promotion, protection and management by serving on external advisory and technical working groups and by representing PIH in key global and regional technical meetings and committees
Proactively work to build coalition with advocacy groups engaging in advocacy for MCH services in partnership with Policy and Project Manager
Support integration of new programmatic approaches to family planning, reproductive health, neonatal health, child health, chronic diseases, mental health and safe surgery as part of broader clinical team efforts structured to work towards the progressive realization of universal health care.
Collaborate with site leadership teams and regional policy and partnership lead s to identify synergistic opportunities; create and lead multi-dimensional, crosscutting initiatives that improve health outcomes
Work in partnership with regional nursing and midwifery leaders within the PIH network to create positive synergies and integrated programming.
Collaborate with the PIH external engagement teams to identify strategic external communication priorities to build, maintain and expand PIH’s reputation as we continue to center the needs of women and girls
Lead proposal design and writing for requests for funding, interim and final project reports, annual program impact reports, scientific and policy papers and other documents as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Advanced clinical training�RN/NP, Midwife, MD, or PhD, required
Minimum five years prior experience developing organizational strategic priorities and plans and executing on those plans
Minimum ten years’ work experience in international health programs with at least five to eight years’ experience in an international or resource challenged settings within the regions served by PIH
Well versed in current clinical protocols and evidence in RMNCAH services
Experience in developing successful, replicable and sustainable service delivery programs
Experience in external representation on working groups and in working with government officials, implementing partners, international donors and community-based organizations
Evidence of excellent interpersonal, facilitation and team building skills.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and disseminate data
Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills in English .
Spanish, French, Haitian Creole language skills desirable .
International travel required in accordance with PIH travel and vaccine policy
