Responsibilities
Senior Associate, Implementation Science will support the acceleration of evidence use through strategic information sharing, knowledge management and innovating product packaging. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Serving as focal point for Strategic Communication to do the following:
Development of communication strategy and implementation of communication plan “systems” in collaboration with URC HQ team and the global and sub-regional anchor partners;
HEARD project and partner webpage development and updating;
Release of regular communication updates;
Management of communication tools and platforms (e.g. social media, listservs).
Serving as focal point for Knowledge Management and New Opportunities such as:
Support to process documentation within thematic area efforts;
Management of internal file sharing platforms and support the streamlining of KM processes;
Writing and analysis required for opportunity and business development.
Assistance to Product Development and Packaging including:
Ensure quality and finalization of project deliverables created by HEARD partners;
Support to synthesis and innovative packaging of findings and processes to inform change;
Assistance developing presentations for webinars, workshops, meetings etc.
Additional and other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Other tasks consistent with the nature of this position.
As needed, attend, and represent the organization in various events, seminars, and functions.
Travel to developing countries as required.
All URC Headquarters employees are required to contribute to business development efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for an individual with excellent writing and editing skills, a strong attention to detail, strong inter-cultural and interpersonal skills. The individual must be able to work well in a team and independently.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health or related discipline;
Three years of public health and development related experience;
Technical knowledge of global health issues and research approaches;
Research implementation and support experience;
Strong program coordination, organizational and support skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Familiarity with learning management systems and websites;
Previous overseas experience in a low-resource setting;
Familiarity with use of social media sites as platforms for disseminating information and increasing interest
Physical Demands
This assignment involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
This position may require frequent travel to domestic and international locations with varying distances, duration, and modes of transport.
This position may require vision, hearing, talking, standing, sitting, walking, lifting.
