Project Overview and Role:
The Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 12 months to find jobs in their local area. Starting at the end of June 2021, it will benefit more than 1 million Universal Credit claimants who are expected to look for and be available for work but have no sustained earnings. The scheme will provide up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other partners to deliver tailored support for individuals.
The Engagement Coordinators will report to the Business Managers and will be located in Southampton.
The salary range for this position is: £22,000 to £26,000
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Book the customer’s initial first appointment with the relevant Employment Advisors;
Build and maintain strong relationships with local JCP, referral agencies and the local signposting organisations to generate and maximise programme referrals;
Maintain customer records in accordance with data protection requirements so that participant information is safeguarded, and the customer journey is accurately recorded;
Maintain IT files and building the participant record capturing key information to a required quality standard to ensure the participant journey is documented in accordance with our quality and contractual standards;
Assists the team in ensuring a high level of customer engagement or re-engagement and ensure customer records are maintained to reflect contact or attempted contact made;
The Engagement Coordinator may be required to perform ad hoc office administration duties such as attending to the front desk, managing petty cash claims and attending to front-line queries
Skills and experience:
Required
A passion for working with people;
Experience of working in a customer focused, target driven environment;
Experience of providing one to one support and coaching to individuals with the ability to constructively challenge where needed;
A level of independence and professionalism to work independently;
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills;Interest in the welfare-to-work sector.
Desirable
Educated at university degree or alternatively have a demonstrated track record of performance and success in target driven sales, customer service or case-management roles;
Knowledge of the employment market in their area.
