PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.
The Global Health Technologies Coalition (GHTC) is a coalition of 40 nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and aligned businesses advancing policies to accelerate the creation of new drugs, vaccines, diagnostics, and other tools that bring healthy lives within reach for all people.
PATH is currently recruiting for a Program Assistant to support the Global Health Technologies Coalition, which is housed at PATH. The Program Assistant will report to the Director of the Global Health Technologies Coalition and will work closely with the Senior Communications Lead.
The GHTC Program Assistant will support the GHTC secretariat by working in coordination with GHTC staff and coalition members to support the implementation of policy and advocacy strategies to promote global health research and development (R&D). This will include supporting the planning and execution of GHTC’s communications activities and providing general administrative support for the GHTC Secretariat team—including acting as liaison to GHTC members, scheduling and arranging logistics for coalition meetings and events, and fulfilling donor and financial reporting requirements.
Duties:
Support the development and dissemination of GHTC’s communications materials, under the guidance of the Senior Communications Lead. This will include tracking relevant media and news, collating and authoring weekly news update emails and blogs, authoring original web and blog content, and serving as the primary proofreader for the team.
Support GHTC’s digital outreach under the guidance of the Senior Communications Lead. This will include drafting, maintaining, and publishing content to GHTC’s website on a timely basis; generating and managing regular content on GHTC’s various social media channels; and compiling metrics on the effectiveness of social media efforts in reaching key audiences.
Facilitate communications and outreach to members of GHTC and act as the first point of contact for GHTC member inquiries. This will include maintaining membership contact lists, compiling and distributing weekly updates through the GHTC listserv and corresponding with members, and coordinating with GHTC secretariat staff to respond to member requests.
Assist with the scheduling, planning, execution, and follow-up for meetings, forums, events, and briefings including identifying venues, coordinating with vendors, creating and/or compiling necessary materials.
Maintain the GHTC’s files for archival, monitoring, and evaluation purposes. This will include recording advocacy contacts and interactions, coordinating across the GHTC team to collect content for donor and institutional reporting, and maintaining files and databases.
Process payments for vendors and contractors, in collaboration with the GHTC Executive Director and Program Administrators and help to coordinate annual invoicing to GHTC members.
Other duties as assigned.
