This Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Pricing will develop cost volumes and pricing strategies for the company’s highest priority/value business opportunities. They will work collaborative with proposal development teams, mentor and coach staff involved in the proposal development process and support the Commercial Pricing Team Leader with strategic decision making, continuous improvement, and general management.

Reporting and Supervision:
This position reports to the Pricing & Value Analytics Team Lead.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
Lead individual pricing strategies for the company’s highest value or risk business opportunities
This position will serve the role as “Pricing Manager” on proposal teams which is responsible for working with Capture Manager and Portfolio Leads to develop complete and compliant cost proposals for U.S. Government and other clients
Analyze and assess solicitations and technical strategy for cost and compliance risks and determine viable mitigation approaches
Develop financial models using Microsoft Excel
Develop strong budget narratives and justifications aligned to client requirements and internal protocols
Lead budget negotiations with subcontractors
Coach and mentor junior staff serving in supporting roles on proposal production and coordination
Remain current with U.S. Government and other industry trends and regulations related to business development and strategic pricing
Key Competencies Required:
Ability to develop client/market-focused price-to-win approaches
U.S. government rules and regulations
Understanding of different types of contracts and payment mechanisms and associated risk and management implications
Understanding of international development sector
Proposal development best practices (i.e. Shipley methodology)
Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
Ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial managers (training, coaching, tool development)
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to translate technical work plans in to cost proposal data and inputs
Understanding of project accounting and linkages to project management
Professional Expertise/Competencies Preferred:
Proficiency in French or Spanish
Training and capacity building
Change management and continuous improvement
Data analytics and dashboards
Process enhancement and automation
