US Domestic Health Practice Overview:

This Opportunity:
The Senior Public Health Advisor will work with a dynamic business development team to build and deliver a pipeline of health opportunities centered in health equity in the United States. The position requires successful proposal writing experience, public health, health equity, and racial equity subject matter expertise, successful project delivery experience and a strong network with at least one major US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) operating division, such as CDC, CMS, HRSA, SAMHSA, and/or ACF.

Reporting and Supervision:
This position will report to the Vice President, Strategic Growth, US Health
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and/or contribute to proposal development and project implementation
Center racial equity in proposals and project implementation
Design and conduct quantitative and qualitative research studies, applied research, evaluations, and policy analyses
Engage beneficiaries and potential collaborators in program and/or study design and implementation
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and members of the public health policy and research community
Manage contracts and work closely with clients to ensure that contractual requirements (deliverables and timelines) and client expectations are met using the highest standards of quality and collegiality
Work in dynamic and collaborative team environment to develop solutions to health inequities
Key Competencies Required:
Subject matter expertise in a specific health area (e.g., maternal health, HIV/AIDS, COVID, behavioral health) and/or a cross-cutting technical area (e.g., evaluation, community engagement, policy, impact investing, health finance, innovative finance)
Experience leading business development, targeting major US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) operating divisions such as CDC, CMS, HRSA, SAMHSA, and ACF
Proven track record of winning contracts, grants, and/or IDIQs
Proven track record in successful project delivery centered in health equity, especially around racial equity
Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and networks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
Collaborative and entrepreneurial orientation
