Project Overview and Role:
About Market Development Facility (MDF)
Market Development Facility is an Australian Government funded multi-country initiative which promotes sustainable economic development, through higher incomes for women and men, in our partner countries.
We connect individuals, businesses, governments, and NGOs with each other, and with markets at home and abroad. This enhances investment and coordination and allows partnerships to flourish, strengthening inclusive economic growth.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic management and delivery
Work with MDF’s Core Leadership Team to deliver MDF’s intelligence agenda.
Provide surge support to assist country and facility-wide implementation agendas, across MDF countries, including supporting delivery of MDF’s Annual Report and Strategic Plan.
Strategic communication
Working with MDF’s communications team, communicate market intelligence insights and MDF experiences through simple verbal and written and tailored products to MDF’s stakeholders in Canberra, Wellington and MDF countries.
Build on opportunities presented by MDF’s multi-county, cross sectoral program to create discussion and cross learning on MDF’s market intelligence insights among DFAT staff and stakeholders.
Mentorship and capacity building
Provide mentoring and support to other MDF staff on economic analysis, research, private sector development, sustainability and reporting.
