Project Overview and Role:
The Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) facilitates seasonal and longer-term work opportunities for Pacific workers in Australia. It connects Australian employers with Pacific workers under the newly introduced Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme which combines the existing Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) and Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP).
Role Overview:
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will support the MEL Coordinator to deliver the products and services outlined in the PLF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework. This will include the design and dissemination of M&E tools; support for stakeholders required to use the tools, collection and collation of data, reporting findings, and delivering learning events and products.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the MEL Coordinator in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting, progress reports and other high-level reporting documents
Conduct monitoring and evaluation which is respectful of gender and cultural backgrounds, with a focus on continuously generating knowledge that contributes towards PLF’s diversity and inclusion objectives
Supports data integrity efforts across the PLF
Help generate case studies, stories of change, and impact stories to demonstrate progress against outcomes
Assist in the evaluation of pilot projects, workshops, and other activities through data collection, analysis, and research
Support the design, administration, and analysis of large quantities of surveys
Assist the publication and dissemination of user-friendly, fit-for-purpose MEL products and services to ensure the PLF streams and stakeholders have access to information and evidence for planning and decision making.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in international development, sociology, anthropology, political science, or in another methodology-related field
Experience designing, administering, and analysing surveys
Experience analysing large quantities of qualitative and quantitative data
Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Experience designing, monitoring, and reporting on MEL systems for projects/programs is highly desirable.

This is a Brisbane based role with options for flexible working. Candidates who are willing to relocate for the position must do so at their own expense. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract to 30 June 2023.
You must have valid Australian work rights to be considered for this position – visa sponsorship is not available.
